Flickerware is an independent software studio focused on AI-native tools. We're interested in the space between human intention and machine execution—building products that amplify what people can do, rather than replace them.
We're small by design. No investors, no roadmaps driven by growth metrics. Just a few people making things we find genuinely useful.
How we work
A few principles that guide what we build.
Small on purpose
We don't want to be big. Staying small means we can focus on craft over scale, say no to things that don't matter, and keep building what we actually believe in.
AI as collaborator
We use AI extensively in our own work. This gives us firsthand insight into what works, what doesn't, and where the real opportunities are.
Bias toward action
We'd rather ship something imperfect and learn from it than wait for the perfect solution. Real feedback beats theoretical planning.
Make it simple
Complexity is easy. The hard part is removing it. We aim for tools that feel obvious in hindsight—where the interface disappears and the work flows.
